Yesterday was probably one of the highlights of this entire project as it was finally the day when everyone's hard work was presented. As I was part of the advertising and promotion team most of our work had been done prior to the show, so Dom, Annie and I were there to help out wherever needed and Rose modelled! Our main roles included setting up, tidying, signposting, and dressing models! I enjoyed the whole experience and although dressing was a little stressful, as the timings had to be right, there was an exciting atmosphere and it was really rewarding when it all went to plan. If I could choose to be on a team again I would choose to be on the production team as I feel my skills lend more to the organisation and logistics side to producing an event, but it has been really beneficial to learn this for future endeavours!
We also had our boards up as an exhibition to present our brand ideas, along side our diesinkers boards showing their inspiration for their outfits. This was super helpful to see what other people thought of my brand development and see where other people are taking there's. It's definitely made me realise a few things I want to improve on and add to my brand launch book. One regret I have is not having some kind of physical element accompany my boards, like quite a few others did. I think this really added to their brand identity and gave a real sunlight into the message they want their brand to communicate.
Overall I think I'd love to help with running a fashion show again as it was such fun and rewarding experience. I would even consider being a team leader as it was inspiring to see how hard they worked and the effort they went into, as well as the respect they got from others because of this.
Now the event is over it means I can start fully focusing on my brand launch pack and make it the best it can be!
